I am a U.S. citizen currently waiting for my skilled workers immigration visa to be processed to Australia. I have family over there and would like to visit for about 2 weeks on holiday in April. British citizens need a ETA visitor visa (subclass 976) for a service charge of $20 or nowadays an eVisitors (subclass 651) free of charge approval to visit Australia as tourist for threee month within a year.
For New Zealand they are visa waived as tourists for 6 months.
Citizens of more than 130 countries need two different visa to visit Australia and New Zealand!

By the time I receive it and then apply for the student visa, it will be extremely close to my start date.
