My boyfriend and I plan on going to Australia on a working holiday visa in a year or so. We have read a lot about it, and the requirements etc. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips, or experience doing this themselves. Is it difficult? Does it take a long time? I am aware you need $5,000 AUD minimum per person in order to go, and that is why we are looking at next January to go, so we can save up. We would like to apply for a second year, and you need a minimum of three months working in agricultural/farming type jobs?
Any advice or tips or anything would be great!

I am going to Australia for 12 months next year. I want to start in Perth and then travel around, working also. I am a qualified Electrician, would I find enough work? Also what isthe average cost of living in Perth, and the other big cities?
When I am in Australia can I also apply for a working holiday visa to New Zealand?

I went to Australia some years ago and vowed be back.
Hopefully I am going to Australia Nov and then moving on to N Z. Basically I want to work/live over ( either country ) there but I have a couple queries.
One-I am nearly forty yrs old-by the time I will be in NZ I will be forty!
Is this too old?
Two-I have a disability with my leg (not in wheelchair ) and a learning disability. ( slow picking things up )
Would either Govenments be considerate towards an application for a working visa? Or any help?
I do not want any financial assistance just help with the job aspect. Saying this I will work my butt off to prove myself. Thanking you
