I would like to know if my fiance can apply for a tourist visa and we marry in melbourne so he can stay with me without leaving the country (changing the visa type) and with the same rights to work (i am an international PhD student allowed to work 20 hours per week) OR shall we apply for the prospective marriage visa?. No migration agent wants to answer this whit out money involved. Thanks

So i know the only way to do this is to apply for the tourist visa when not in Australia.
Has anyone ever successfully done this? How (un)likely is it to be granted the visa? The Immigration Department is a bit unclear on all of that.

If I will go to Australia as a tourist for 2 weeks, is it possible to extend my vacation in the event someone there (AU nationals or a common friend) wants to sponsor me?
If so, what is the procedure?
When my visa expires, can I go to New Zealand and go back to Australia (let’s say after two weeks) instead of the Philippines?

I want to go to Australia for 3 months for tennis training so would it be hard for me to get a 3 month tourist visa and one more thing isn’t it a fact that a tourist visa (Subclass 676) comes with a mandatory condition of “No Further Stay” which states that a person can’t extend his stay in Australia and neither can apply for a new visa there so then why do I need to give evidence of a strong incentive to return to my country when I can’t even apply for a new visa there.Thanks
