Can I Work In My Career Job In Australia With A Working Holiday Visa?

By , February 23, 2010

Hi, I really want to leave Canada and the snowing weather for a while, but I don’t want to loose touch with my career in interior design. I know that Working Holiday Visa’s only allow you to work up to 6 months at one job…so I was wondering what the best way was to find work in Australia for over the 6 months. I understand that I can get a working Visa that is good for 2 years, but you need a sponsor first. And when I look up jobs…and there are many in interior design, it says you have to have a valid Visa first. Can I apply to these jobs with a working holiday visa and then if I get a job, get my employer to sponsor me to get a Working Visa? I’ve been to so many web sites and I am totally confused. I just want to get to Australia knowing that I am secure with everything I need.

Australia Parent Visa Qualifications

By , January 13, 2010

When a parent wishes to come or migrate to Australia it is necessary to obtain a Visa in order to do so, and it is called a parent visa. Of course that parent needs to have either a stepchild, adopted child, or natural child be either a settled eligible or settled permanent inhabitant of either Australia or New Zealand. Further the applicants need to have at least of their children permanently living in Australia, and have more of their children living in Australia than in other countries.

What this parent Visa will carry along with it is that the actual applicant, plus their accompanying spouse and/or other dependent family member(s) will then be able to become permanent residents to Australia, study and work in Australia, be able to receive medical and pharmaceutical benefits, receive social security payments, make application for Australian citizenship. Further, they will be able to sponsor other people who wish to become permanent residents of Australia.
